Happy 4th of July! For Mother’s Day I received Martha Stewart’s Cookies cookbook. I told the kids I thought we should bake one cookie a week. Unfortunately, this is the first cookie we’ve tried from the cookbook and it’s been two months. The cookies were beautiful, but not a favorite. I guess we’ll just have to bake more cookies! Hope everyone had a great day!

I love to bake, especially cookies, cakes, and pies.

Hi Barbara! I just bought the same cookbook and decided I was going to make every cookie in the cookbook to try! I have made two – the Banana Walnut Oatmeal and the Cashew Caramel Cookies (blogged about both of them!) The Cashew Caramel were the best of the two, but neither ones are the kind I would probably make again. Next on my list is the chocolate suprise!
Hi Honey – I’m not crazy about nuts, so I probably won’t make the Banana Walnut Oatmeal or the Cashew Caramel Cookies, so it’s good to know I won’t be missing too much. The Chocolate Surprise cookies do look delicious, I’ll look forward to your review. Thanks!
my sister has that book and i’ve enjoyed browsing thru it…i know, i probably should actually make something out of it! but, those cookies look so festive and delicious! looks like a great treat for the 4th!
Cute Barbara! They look perfect for the 4th or any time really!
